This is a question we receive a lot, but the answer is it depends!
A pure consult is around $500 pesos, but if we need to perform treatments, procedures, and/or further exams, that will cost us materials, and the overall cost of your visit will increase accordingly.
We always try to be as transparent as possible about cost before proceeding with treatment. As a part of our mission to serve this community and all of its members, we offer price-reductions to locals.
If you have medical insurance, come prepared with your insurance card and information. Depending on this, you may not have any out-of-pocket costs!
Yes and no. Every country, region, town is held to the standards of its own national body, local governance, and regional resources. Of course, in many regards, the resources available and common methods used are different in this area. For example, many foreigners are surprised by the prevalence of intra-muscular gluteal injections for medication delivery. Though this method is safe and effective when performed correctly (and can offer particular advantages as far as more immediate systemic responses), this is may be a different delivery of care from your home country.
Further, the methodology of evaluation in Mexico is particularly clinically-based and relies less on lab tests and imaging. Physicians here are thorough in their line-of-questioning, in taking comprehensive histories, and performing complete physical exams to establish diagnoses.
All this said, the purpose, professionalism, and underlying care in a patient-physician setting is a universal dynamic, and we hope to make you feel right at home in our clinic. As in your home country our physicians are here to listen to your needs, evaluate your health, and treat you to the best of their ability. We can assure you that our team brings true excellence in education, experience, and compassion.
Make sure to bring in a current form of identification and any insurance card (if applicable).
Check if your current health insurance covers medical procedures abroad and review the details of your international medical assistance policy. If the insurance does not cover this type of treatment, you will need to decide whether to cover the expenses on your own.
Essentially, all! We accept cash, card, Zelle, PayPal, and bank transfers.
